Attorney Joe Guerrero was born and raised in a small town in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He began his academic career with a pre-medical undergraduate education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg. He later received his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston.
Joe’s passion for civil litigation began while he was still a law student, working under the mentorship of an experienced plaintiff’s attorney. Shortly after becoming licensed, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he co-founded a law firm focused on representing homeowners facing foreclosure. His work centered on civil lawsuits against large lending institutions that had exploited vulnerable borrowers. As a bilingual attorney, Joe was able to clearly explain complex legal matters to Spanish-speaking residents throughout the D.C. area.
